Review: "Pink" features Bachchan Sr. at his best.

Few movies have the power to move you. Fewer still have the power to stun you. Only a select few could do both. ‘Pink’ comfortably falls in the last category. The concept isn’t strikingly novel but the execution is supreme. It doesn’t get preachy but sends out a very strong message through the unmatched baritone of its protagonist, Mr Amitabh Bachchan. The movie hits the right notes and with a mix of situational humor and simultaneous effects of shock, gives you a great cinematic experience. Big B takes the movie to an entirely different plane. What would Indian Cinema be without him? You can have the Shahrukhs, the Aamirs, the Salmans, but when you think of Bollywood keeping in mind the overall history, Big B comes to your mind first.. That baritone could literally send a chill down your spine, so impactful it is. And those haunting expressions in his eyes, could literally cast a spell. The much younger female ensemble cast perform admirably well but even the three of them together can’t match Amitabh Bachchan’s impact and majesty. He pulls off a difficult character with effortless ease and shows his entire gamut of abilities in an artillery that somehow keeps getting more and more extensive by the day. He may be 70+, but the charm of Amitabh Bachchan is as evergreen and as fresh as ever. More than 45 years in the industry, but he still manages to retain his aura. He is as they say, “iss sadi ka mahanayak”

Let’s not forget to applaud Piyush Mishra as well, who actually manages to hold his own against the imposing presence of Amitabh Bachchan.

If you can go and watch Baar Baar dekho, but do not feel like watching Pink, something is seriously wrong with you..
